My husband, son and I just went to Amalfi Grille and had a wondertul time. Beginning with the very friendly Brittany who took my reservation to the last busboy we saw, everybody and everything was fantastic. The owner himself happened to be by the door and opened it for us. We chatted a little while we waited for out table, what a pleasant and gracious man. We were asked what we wanted to order right away, I was hesitant about a particular wine, therefore the waitnress let me taste it and promised there would be no obligation if I didn’t like - I liked it! There was no children’s menu per se, but after a few suggestions we decided to just get my son a simple chicken breast that while not on the menu, they graciously offered to make. My husband had the Cesar salad and filet mignon I the “summer salad” and the lobster ravioli. Everything was absolutly wonderful. The staff and the owner are attentive wihtout being intrusive. We will certainly make this one of our “regular” haunts. What a great addition to the Vero Beach restaurant landscape.
We had a wonderful lunch yesterday. The veal marsala was terrific; it was not on the menu but the chef said he would be happy to do it for us. On a whim, we also had the made-on-premises tiramisu and are happy to report it to be the best we’ve ever had. Tony, our server, could not have been more attentive, prompt, and knowledgeable.
We look forward to being returning customers many times in the future.
Excellent all around. The owner himself spent time with us and checking up on each course of our meal. My wife had the Penne Madieria, and said it was excellent. The ribeye was perfect, cooked to order. Our waitress knew the menu, and gave great service.
Their are only two italian places in Vero that I would recommend, and this is one of them.
My husband and I are thrilled to have the Amalfi Grill where Brandy’s used to be and offering the quiet, intimate and extremely friendly service. The menu, the presentations, the quality and unique array along with incredible wines makes this a fine dining experience. We have eaten there three times. It is now #1 on our list - we’ve eaten at the bar which was great fun, talking with the wait staff and chef but still receiving excellent service. This is a special place, a place that welcomes you with genuine warmth. Treat yourself!
We have been vacationing in fla. anually from Boston for several years and have been searching for Italian cuisine comparable to back home, well forget about comparable.I’m a chef of Italian and mediteranian cuisine and let me tell you something,The Amalfi Grille would have a line out the door and around the corner in Boston,NewYork or Chicago or any other food mecca around the country where Italian cuisine is admired. The food and wine are to be put simply gastronomic extacy but let me just say something about the people.Owner Bob Rose;I’ve never seen any owner so passionately involved with his staff, guests, food and wine list in which he has an intimate knowledge of every bottle and happy to help with any selection.Chef Chet:his attention to ingredients, their preperation and pairing leave me slightly envious.Waiter David;very menu knowledgable, prompt, attentive and friendly,a real pro! John wine steward;very attentive to each bottle and each guest, wonderful man.Bus person; Melissa takes excellent care of your table without being intrusive.Fantastic dining exprrience.
