Since the restaurants opening in October of 2001, their infusion of flavors combined to create their version of Modern American cuisine. The restaurant exhibits a comfortable modern feel with nicely presented cuisine and a good selection. They also have a full bar with a martini menu and a nice selection of wines. We would consider Carmel’s among the top five in vero beach. It is a notable dining destination and worth a try.
Elegant dining:
Specials on Tuesdays with wine pairings are well thought out and worth while. Setting is a delightful atmosphere with reasonable pricing. Wines chosen are beautifully complimented with the food choice. Worth repeated visits.
Wine dinners are especially good. Fine wines, good menu and excellent service. Food selections are both tasty and excellent. Carmels offers a full bar as well as fine wines. Good value!
In the past Carmel’s has been one of our top choices when fine dining. We had previously been both pleased by the meals and service, however that was not the case with our most recent visit. We chose their special “Wine Pairing” dinner where the server failed to explain each course pairing as it was served and completely forgetting to serve the wine with one of the courses. Other diners complained of slow service that same evening. I am hoping it was just an “off” night and not an omen of our future encounters at Carmel’s.
