Nestled quietly at Disney’s ocean front vacation club, Sonya’s at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort offers another nice choice for dining in North Vero Beach. Of the two restaurants here at the resort, Sonya’s is the more upscale restaurant and open for dinner and a Sunday brunch. The menu here is nothing off the charts but it is good and consistent. One might even say it’s typical of Disney’s upscale restaurants in Orlando but a little more low key. They offer a selection of prime-aged steaks, chops, seafood and occasionally offer wine-pairing dinners during season. While Sonya’s is considered the Fine Dining restaurant at the resort it still has that resort (more casual) feel. Overall it is decent, not outstanding, but good. If you get to Sonya’s be sure to also check out one of our favorite places at this resort - The Green Cabin Room. Just upstairs from the main lobby The Green Cabin Room is a great place to have an appetizer, a drink and enjoy the ocean views before or after dinner.
Not bad..Not great. Just average. Attentive servers. Nice decor located on a very well kept resort property. Located on the North end of Orchid Island about 7-8 miles to the North of the main strip beach side. It’s actually just south of SR-512 (Wabasso.)
Be prepared to dine with a lot of young resort guests - this is a Disney property.
Been to Sonya’s and Shutters several times. Shutters is more casual and Sonya’s is supposed to be more upscale, but all the food comes from the same kitchen. Both menus are nearly identical.
The meatloaf is very good, but the English pot roast is awsome. Keep it simple here. Don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed.
An excellent choice if you’re bringing the little ones. Staff really make them feel special and go out of the way for them.
If you come without a reservation just take the first available table because the wait can be quite long if you’re going to wait for a patio table.
